Love, Joy, and Peace.
If you are like me, you think about these words as “feel good” ideas that everyone wants. Unfortunately, in today’s world they seem harder and harder to realize. Why?
Are you stressed out?
Negative people around you all the time?
Webster defines Joy as “a state of well-being and contentment.” A state of well-being and contentment… now, isn’t that what we all want as humans?
Have you ever wondered what makes you happy and contented, and why you do things the way you do?
The problem is most of us are being carried away by the daily cares of this world that we lose sight of why we do what we do.
Does money bring happiness? We always hear this question, and we probably heard a million times that the answer to this question is a resounding NO. Not long term, anyway.
But it seems to be human nature to deny this fact.
Material possessions are fun and nice, but have you ever bought anything that comes with a happiness guarantee? Nope.
It doesn’t happen and never will.
The thing is, “stuff” can provide temporary happiness, but not real long-lasting joy.
True eternal love, joy, and peace can only come from within. These three – Love, Peace, and Joy – are spiritual in nature, and can never be achieved through materialism, buying, acquiring, possessing.
God, the Holy Spirit, is the only source and foundation of these blessings. Let us renew our relationship with Him who supplies us with inner peace, healing, and deliverance all the days of our lives.
